Im new on here and to sport bikes. I just got my 12R monday. I absolutely love it. I am riding it everywhere. I ran over something today and ripped a big hole in the muffler. I need another stock muffler. I checked ebay, but all I could find was 9R mufflers or ones that had already been gutted. I want to keep my bike as stock as possible, so I would prefer a stock muffler. If any one near GA has one for cheap please email me.

Also my bike needs tires real bad. I was going to put a set of the oem replacement perrelis on there. I checked the manual for the size and it shows a 180/55. I went to see what kind I have on mine and it is the Dunlop 208s. The problem here is that the rear is a 170/60. I got to looking and there is mayby an 1/8th inch between the right side of the tire and the swing are. Will the 180 still fit on there?

One last question for now. What mods can I make to the bike with out affecting the warrenty? The bike only has 4200 miles on it and still has over a year of warrenty left. I dont want to screw my self later on. I am all into the diy mods as I have been working on bikes for about 10 yrs now. I have mainly had Harleys with pans and shovels and one evo. I do not mind tearing into anything on the bike, I just do not want to void the warrenty. Give me some ideas.

First off, welcome to the Forum and Congrats on the bike. :D[up] Did you get the white or black 12R?

Stock 12 Cans can be found on here occasionally. Seems like most get an aftermarket pipe right off the bat so it shouldn't take too long.

The manual and Buell site shows a 180/55 as being stock on your bike, so it should fit fine. The tire will squeeze in on the sides to fit the rim as designed and should clear. I've seen posts where some have put 190's on with no mods.

A breather re-route mod would be fine with the warranty: Breather Re-route w/ Pics (http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/Do-It-Yourself-Buell-Mods/How-To-Crank-Case-Breather-Mod-with-pics)

As well as the Both Headlights on Mod: Both Headlights on DIY (http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/Do-It-Yourself-Buell-Mods/Headlight-Mod---Both-Lights-On-w-Hi-Beam)

Also might get some Frame pucks for your bike if it doesn't have them already. Unfortunately an unanticipated drop can happen at anytime.

Thanks for the info. I am planning on doing the reroute this week end. It is white with the red wheels and windshield. It was factory black, but the 1st owner put the whit plastics on it. As soon as I get the program for my camera working I will post some pistures of it. Do you recomend a bette rtire than the perreli? I am really anting a tire that will give me good mileage. I am not into the grip as much as I do not plan on pushing the bike. I just bought it to enjoy and ride. Also, what is the best way to lift these bikes up? I have a motorcycle jack, but with the muffler on the bottom, I do not know how to pick it up so I can change the tires.

Here's a thread that might help out: Big Tires Topic Thread (http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/General-Motorcycle-Chat/the-big-topic-tires) I've seen LOTS of positive posts and remarks about the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT. They're a dual compound (harder middle for cruising / softer compound on perimeter for grip)

As far as lift, here's a great DIY muffler "cradle" that you can make: DIY Muffler Jack Template (http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/448564.html?1238894950) The mufflers have stock "jack points" though I can't remember where exactly they are.
