Apparently several groups have come forward since the December 14, 2015 hearing and expressed an interest in participating. This includes S&S and Zero Motorcycles among others.

I was just reading on badweather and Bruce said he will be there and is not leaving empty handed...but a S&S buell would be nice! Just hope someone gets them back up and producing bikes!

The last sentence is good news for a resurrection. People are fighting to keep EBR in one piece.

"Since the Dec. 14 hearing, 13 letters have been filed with the court objecting to the sale. Many of the letters specifically object to the sale being to a liquidation company, according to court records."

Unfortunately gentlemen it's loud and clear that Liquid Assets Partners got EBR according to the Milwaukee journal. Sad, I truly don't believe they have any interest in producing motorcycles. Keep praying maybe and see what else comes of this and what their intents are. Sorry for the bad news guys.....

"At today's auction, where 3 bidders participated, AMG and our finance partner, Tiger Capital Group, matched the top bid by Liquid Asset Partners at $2.05 million. The decision as to who wins, and whether EBR lives or is liquidated, now rests with the Court. See you there, bright and early.

Never Quit."

Well Dean that's great news but the news article didn't mention any of that. Thanks for clarifying and good luck Bruce. Dean please keep us posted.

Maybe a Buell enthusiast will win the Powerball, buy back everything and give it to Erik.
It could happen.

An encouraging article: http://www.jsonline.com/business/new-owner-of-erik-buell-racing-says-the-firm-could-make-a-comeback-b99651784z1-365298921.html

"We will not be manufacturing motorcycles, as Liquid Asset, but we will be working to put together a plan with a team that can be successful in doing that," said Liquid Asset owner Bill Melvin Jr.
"There are no guarantees. A portion of our business is that we are liquidators, but we are also power players in the motorcycle industry," Melvin said.
Founded in 1974, Liquid Asset Partners (http://www.liquidap.com/) has worked with motorcycle manufacturers, including Indian Motorcycle Co., before Indian was acquired by Polaris Industries. It liquidated the assets of the Buell factory, in East Troy, when Harley-Davidson Inc. dropped the Buell brand in 2009.

"Liquid Asset Partners will be seeking investors, or a buyer, for Erik Buell Racing."

"Their (EBR) bikes, out of the box, can go head-to-head with the top Italian race bikes. Our sale process will enable the proper exposure of the company and price flexibility that may better fit a new owner,"

"The next step for Buell could involve crowd-funding, a private investor or another motorcycle manufacturer. Melvin said he hopes that company founder Erik Buell and the rest of the Buell management team will remain part of the process."

"Our hope is that someone will continue to make these amazing motorcycles," Melvin said

This is a good thing.

I can't wait until Erik's evil unknown twin Derrik Buell reveals himself and admits that out of jealousy, HE was the one who ordered Hero to screw his twin brother Erik! Then Mr. Belfer see's both the twins, Erik and Derrik, and reveals that he also has a twin that owns Liquid Asset Partners, who Erik teamed up with to buy back his own company! All the while, in a dark back room, Harley is plotting a dirty takeover move....

So exciting!!

Ha, I like the soap opera plot. Maybe we can keep this going - there's a love triangle in this somewhere.

So did my XB12R just go up in value or down? Should I keep riding it daily or set it aside as a collector piece?

neither. ride it and enjoy it. the EBR saga has taken on a life of its own not only on this site but several others. wouldn't be surprised if something like BRM(Buell Racing Motorcycles) resurrects itself in a year or so with Ural backing....then fades away again after 4 months of production.
