What is the best way to change the back tire if I dont have a bike stand? Would a couple hydrolic jacks (one on each side of tire) work? Anyone have exp plugging/patching small holes?

unless you can spin balance the tire, i would have it done by the dealers

Take it to a sportbike shop, HD dealers are notoriously bad about balancing tires. Close is good on a cruiser for the most part, you want perfect on a sportbike [cool]

Get a Mark Parnes static balancer. It'll match any spinner out there, I'd bet.

I just changed my rear tire last night. I stick a couple 1/2 hex keys in the front axle and stand it on a couple jackstands. Then you can lift the rear with a jack under your muffler. (If it's not a stock muffler, be VERY careful doing this.) The Sportmax I had on the Uly lasted just under 5k miles and 4k of that was after I plugged it from the outside. No issues. (It was down to the cords.) I will say that changing a 55 series tire is a two-person job if you do it by hand, though. My wife had to help hold the spoons in order to get the new one on the rim.

I just had mine all taken care of at HD of ukiah only cost 200. and they did a kickass job. Here's the old diablo(3800miles), I'm going to ride the scorpion for a while and see if they last any longer.
