Take yours off and put the top bolts in the bottom holes. That's all he did. :)

I prefer 1/2 that distance. So I tap holes in the headlight housing just between the existing ones. That way you can use all 4 bolts, you don't have 2 holes left in the screen, and the gauges are still covered
