Local dealer just picked up 2 - 2015 SX's from LAP.
They have a Grey (VIN#55)
And a Red (VIN#83).

They have them listed for $9500.

I have been on the fence about buying a newer model for a while.
But as they are only 20 minutes away, i think i may go pick one up.

Wondering if anyone has an idea if the 2015 models had dash issues ?
Any other issues ?
Is there a way to tell if updates have been done ?

These are not eligible for the warranty, so i just want to make sure i know what i am getting into.
Nobody likes purchasing something that has to sit for weeks, due to issues.

Any constructive input is appreciated.

Thanks
Nick

I'm picking up a 2016 SX on Friday. The dash problems were supposed to have been early model 2014's. Same with the starter o-rings and starter failures due to water leaking into them. Mostly early model stuff, possibly a specific batch run. Later model bikes should be fine. My 2014 RX that I had for almost 3 years didn't really have many problems, I fixed them all myself unless it was a warranty only issue.

Seems like a lot? $7500 to $8500 seems the norm for an SX.

I picked it up last night.
Paid a much more reasonable price.
Just in time for winter to return.

Great price I picked up mine in TX in a crate red 2015 SX #85 for $7650. I have 350 miles on it now :) There are alot of great deals out there on this great bike, and the 2017 I hear are just being released.

I thought pretty hard about selling the Ulysses and getting an 1190. So I'd have one stupid fast bike and one reasonably slow one (the softail). Just can't part with my uly. I do want to take an1190 for a ride and am super jealous of those who own one lol.

Dont be jealous ! just take the plunge ,you will not regret it, I thought I would miss my 2, 08 12scg , but I dont . It is like a big step in to the modern world of scary fast. LOL, There is no looking back ,unless you wanna see whom you are riding with .LOL

Both are beautiful 1190's , if I wasn't old I'd buy one.

Silverrider, one day, your going to regret getting rid of both SCG's !

Still, best of luck to both of you with your new bikes.

Not too shabby at all. I do wonder what my slim is putting down. The fuelpak3, stage one air cleaner, and short shots woke it up a bit. Nothing like your dyna though hoping to be able to do a 110 kit and cams next year.

PS I apologize to the op for the mild Harley oriented thread diversion :D

I got one from Redlands Honda for 9,400 out the door. Vin 0002. Love this bike, don't know how they didn't sell like hot cakes. They are amazing!
