header wrap MAY VOID WARRANTY?

Hey has any one had to take their bike for repairs that are warranty related. If so was you header wrapped, my bike has 1041 miles and had to go to the dealership. for a drive-ability issue maybe an intake leak but the service mgr says that the header being wrapped MAY VOID MY WARRANTY ANY INFO WOULD BE HELPFULL

As with most any company providing a warranty they try to get out of fixing things for free whenever possible. Did you have to remove the header to wrap it? If so then they can probably say that it's possible that you messed something up. They should diagnose the problem for free. Hopefully it's not too expensive. Good luck!

Depending on who wrapped the header, if you removed it to wrap it, and if you did any prior work yourself to possibly cause the problem that may be warrantied will all be in question for the warranty claim process. If it is indeed an intake leak, I dont know why header wrap would even effect that being covered. I think the service guy is just trying to scare you or he doesnt want to work on it. Worst case scenario, if they try pulling something you dont think is right, like this would be in my eyes, raise a fuss about it not being covered. Do not be an outright asshole, like screaming and all that, but just be assertive enough so they will actually try to help you out with this. I will personally do anything in my power to get warranty stuff covered if the customer is decent to me and its such a fine line of why its not being covered. If you need any other info, let me know.
