About 3 weeks ago I washed my 06 Buell XB12R and put it away in a shed while I was away doing some cool Army training and I came home to a headlight that does not work anymore. The bright light works fine when switched on but no daytime running light. WTF.... I'm thinking that it must have been the water. Can only one tell me what else it could be.

Did you try replacing the bulb? I would hate to have to take my bike into a dealer for a light.

Sounds like a bulb to me...

Thanks for the replies.
I bought one today will install tomorrow.
It just seems weird to me that a 2006 with 2000 miles blew a headlight bulb.

Vibration kills the bulbs.

xb12Rider can you hook me up with some info on the HID kit.
Yes it was the bulb and the wire was burnt a little too.

Dont wash your bike!! Water kills electronics, you will never get everything dry. I will wash my wheels but thats it, being very careful not to get anything else wet. I use Meguiars spray detailer. Spray it on and wipe it off, that easy and looks showroom clean. Use a clean cloth on the plastics first then you can use the same cloth on the rest. No mess, and dries streak free. Also you can use armor all, or I like the Tire Wet stuff, on the black plastics ( not the Tires!!!) It will brighten them up and give them a nice luster, you can do all your rubber hoses with it as well.

Oh, and with those products it helps the dust not stick ( I live on a dirt road so I know :) ) In between cleanings I like to use my air compressor and blow off any dust that has setteled anywhere on my bike. It stays looking new always!!!

Call me anal, meh WHATEVER!
