I don't understand why they designed it to be such a tight fit. So many years, so many models. We are talking about a Buell right?

The PO on my bike put a small piece of double sided foam tape on the horn where it would contact the flyscreen. He left the backing on the side facing towards the flyscreen, so its effectively just a piece of thin single sided foam. Works great! Thanks PO!

I installed a Madstadt front windshield and had that severere rattling of the horn. I stuck a flat screw driver up from the front and into the slot, and just pried a little and bent the horn away from the plastic shield, problem solved.

Bolt the horn directly to the rail that the horn mounting straps connect to. No mods needed just remove the straps from the rail and the horn, bolt the horn to the rail. You will never hear anything from behind the fly screen again, except when you honk the horn. There is a thread somewhere about this either here or badweather?
