Hi Buell Friends

I am new to this forum and need answe to a stupid question from me. I had to change the fuell pump on my 08 xb12x. To do so a had to remove the rear wheel...well 2 weeks ago and now while remonting the wheel and axle ther seem to be a gap between the swingarm and the wheel bearing on the right side. Did i drop a bushing while dismounting and not see it rolling on the floor. 'cause what keeps the wheel from moving from side to side if it is not lock in place on both sides.
Thank you

you need to check the wheel closely. there are no external spacers or seals on the factory 2 bearing wheel which is stock for your 2008. someone may have changed it to a three bearing wheel assembly. if that's the case it will have the following:
1-one bearing on rotor side
2-two bearings on pulley side
3-spacer and grease seal on rotor side.7481

Sorry eveybody i just realised this evening while riding that it is in fact the axle itself that act as a stopper and bushing on the right side. Thank you anyway.

those 6 hoodlums live right down the road from me stevie. how did you get their pic?

close clodeb but not exactly correct. decades ago local bishops decided that conventional bicycles are not only "english" but provide a bit too much "enjoyment and pleasure" for very little work. the amish begged for approval of some sort of contraption that would allow them to travel from farm to farm and farm to store, etc more quickly than walking and easier than hitching up the horse to the buggy which is a big job. so the bishops approved old metal scooters in non-bright colors. see pic. those scooters over the past 40 years have morphed into the ones in dobe1's pic. now they're everywhere!
