Anyone explain the difference between the 1125 & 1190 engines?

I was wondering if anyone out there could explain the difference between the 2. I have heard that they are identical with a change in bore size and exhaust but there must be a different ecm as well.

I'm actually looking to purchase the Big Bore kit EBR makes for my '09 1125CR. I've no idea what this entails, but will post back with anything I find.

From EBR:

We call the 1190 engine an “ET-V2,” which stands for, “East Troy V-Twin.” It is not a Rotax. EBR purchased the rights for the 1125R engine from Rotax and the engine has been significantly developed beyond the original design. EBR’s proprietary Controlled Swirl Induction (CSI) is an example of a major change that produces major results. Beyond that, pistons, rods, cylinder heads, cams,
cooling system ,virtually everything has been changed from the 1125 design. Components are sourced from around the world, but the engine, like all EBR motorcycles, is completely assembled at EBR’s manufacturing facility in East Troy, Wisconsin. Rotax does not make a single part in the engine.

EBR took an 1125 cc, 135 hp Rotax engine and turned it into an 1190 cc 185 hp EBR engine.

How do you get a 37% increase in power with a 6% increase in displacement? Answer: You completely re-design the engine to make it your own.

It may look like the old Rotax engine, but it's obviously something very different.

Thanks for the info. I wondered how they got the power increase with a small displacement increase.
