I just did a DB test on both pipes, both pipes have about 3K miles on them, I thought deans would be a lot louder but not really. APH Oval 120DB at idle rev to 5K 135 DB and Deans Round 119 DB idle and 5K 139 DB Hmmmmmm.

Thanks SR! Testing comparsions like that is good info to post. Not just opinion:) And everyone aways asks...

What did you use for a dB meter? At 6'? I'd like to compare to the testing I did.

Gawd they're both loud for the street though (opinion);)

I was 4 ft from pipe tip , I used NIOSH SLM meter.

The louder the safer from cagers on there phones.

Awesome SR, that's the same dB meter app I used:cool: Hopefully they are accurate enough, but at least able to be compared.

I can 100% tell you it's a different experience splitting traffic on the V-Twin EBR/APH, vs. the smooth triple and stock muffler on the MV.

We might finally be as loud as a Harley. I still want to swap out my exhaust.
Really opens up the bottom of the bike.

You should. Not that anyone needs it on an EBR, but losing the weight and the power difference is staggering! 12507
Theres a better sheet overlayed with a stock curve somewhere, and note how there's no dip even past redline!:adoration:

That's not good. That's what I thought!!

I definitely don't need any more power, but that never stopped me before. If it did I wouldn't own an EBR.

Only thing is I do leave for work around 2230.

I know this was posted several years ago, direct from hmf. Something along the line of about a 4 hp gain over stock. As I recall, they were the OEM for building the stock exhaust as well.
