After following the entire Diagnostic checklist for troubleshooting the throttle position sensor that was offered by the Buell Service Manual, I was still unable to determine what the cause of the short was, or where it was coming from.
I started checking every single connector and (finally) managed to locate where the short was coming from. The short was in the Vehicle Speed Sensor cable assembly. This sensor was not included in the diagnostic checklist.
As soon as I disconnected this sensor, my TPS, Engine Temp, Air Temp, BAS, went back to normal and for the first time in two weeks the bike finally fired up!
I have ordered a new VSS assembly today!
