'07 Buell Lightning.
Purchased new one year ago in June of '08, bike has 2900 miles and is in excellent condition. Needs nothing and has no issues, runs strong with custom built muffler that has a super deep mellow sound. It has a cap for the right side that can be removed for a louder tone. ECM has been remapped with ECM Spy to work with the exhaust and the K&N filter. Runs much smoother than stock and with the custom heat grills in the frame and a heat blanket under the seat and airbox, you no longer get the hot right leg and cooling fan seldom comes on. Includes custom airbrushed airbox visible under the translucent tank/cover and also an extra custom fire painted tank/cover and flyscreen as shown. Custom made Pegasus graphics on the frame.
Along with the previously mentioned modifications, I have installed bar end mirrors, powder coated the levers, bead blasted the handlebars, shortened the front signals, installed a streetfighter seat, done the breater bypass, removed the belt guards and passenger pegs, blacked out the tail section and installed a carbon fiber oil cooler cover. I have all the original stock parts including the muffler that go with the bike.
$7700 I am in Moses Lake, WA.

Yeah, I'm not sure what I'm going to do exactly. Trying to consolidate my bikes from 5.5 down to 3. Looking to replace my Lightning and Aprilia Mille with maybe a CR, a Tuono or a BMW K1200R. Dunno... Either way I'll still be hanging aroung here. I like it here. Nice people.

How much do you want for the extra muffler? I can come and get it, I'm in the Tri-cities!

Thanks, so far I am keeping it in case a new owner would like to go back to stock. I WILL sell the flamed tank and flyscreen though if anyone is interested.

It's not as expensive as you might think to ship a bike depending on the carrier. I might be willing to make a deal where I help with shipping cost. I have seen some e-bay bike ads where they have links for shipping qoutes that were quite reasonable!

I was on ebay this morning looking at bikes and checked out the shipping for some of them. they were all between $480 and $530 and that was from as far over as Ohio. We can definatly look into it though. Just about everything you have done with it is something i would have done. I just have a few questions about it, and maybe we can work something out! email me when you get a chance @ evilmechanic@verizon.net

just a couple of qustions off the top of my head are, how was the rear tail section blacked out? Are the Pegasus graphics on the frame removable, or is it painted on? Who tuned the ecu?

The tail section is painted, the graphics are removable vinyl, (see my thread http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/Buell-Lightning-XB12S-XB12Ss-CityX-XB12Scg/Finaly-got-my-graphics-done-and-my-very-different-exhaust-mod. ) The ECM is currently on an XOPTI based map tuned by me. I have a few different maps including the stock map. Runs quite strong, delivers about 50 mpg, and runs much cooler than stock. As I mentioned, the cooling fan seldom need to come on even in 100 degree weather! And now, no more right leg/butt heater! I'll shoot you an e-mail.
