Finally got to the drag stip tonight and here it is.

Well I will start off by saying the bike is a 2003 XB9r. It has the race kit and that is it for performance. I weigh in at 180, and with the bike we totall out a 630 lbs, and that is with 1 gallon of fuel. Also I am running 93 octane, and temp was about 65 degrees at 6pm-10pm and I got 15 runs in.

Times. Best.

Those are some nice numbers. So how fun was it to push to the absolute limit?

It got to the point I wasnt happy with every run I would pick apart every little thing I did wrong from the take off, to not shifting fast enough, to sitting up to high, just anything, and all to try and get my bike into the 11's, but I just couldnt get there.

At least this week I couldnt. There is always next time. I really need to work on my take off. I figure I can drop up to 3 maybe 4 tenths of a second if I have a flawless take off. Numbers show for each tenth off your 60 ft time it averages 2 tenth in the end 1/4 mile so I hope to drop to a 1.8 60 ft and I should have an 11.7 or so 1/4 mile and I will be happy as hell on that. But for now it is back to just cruising and enjoying the bike. Hell maybe I will add a couple performance items. Who knows.

But none the less I was only expecting a mid 12 so to run almost a 12 flat is great for me.

This goes with the other drag time post brought back to life.

Although it says 93gas I mistyped and was running 110 race gas.

Not sure if I have ever heard of an XB12 going 11's but if I can run a 12.03 on a XB9 I don't see why they wouldn't be a little faster.

But not to many people drag race their Buells, it is almost like a disease to some Buell riders I guess.

Is that race gas leaded? If so it will poison the oxygen sensor.

It is actually a 109 octane gas but is bought at the pump station of my local Meijer gas station (Meijer is like the northern Wal-Mart but better).

And to answer your question Yes it is unleaded.
