Slow Throttle Response

When Idling and giving a quick wrist twist of the throttle, it seems like the engine skips and pops for a split second. Any suggestions?

My bike does that too. I'd like to know what others think.

If I give it a real quick twist from idle it bogs. Once I'm off-idle and give it a blip it's fine.

A custom mapping is as close as you'll come to solving that, and even that won't solve it completely. Buells don't like blipping, especially in the lower RPM range.

It's large bore engine with lots of rotating mass, they just aren't designed to function like that.

It's perfectly normal for it to do what you are describing.

normal on a stock bike. especially during any temp corrected enrichemnts.


mapping mods can alleviate it almost entirely. mine doesnt do it anymore.
