ASV F3 or C/5 Street Levers???

Well until now I was unaware that ASV made two different model street bike levers. I have the chance to get black on black shorties for my buell for $180 shipped to my house. I think this is a great deal, but now I find out there are two models. The C5 has a 2 year longer warranty, but other than that I can't figure out what the difference is. Do you guys have any idea or any input on which ones I should get? The C5's are more expensive by $30. I am not sure what to do because as far as I can tell there is no difference?

I believe the deal is the C5 is billet while the F3 is forged. Bigger warranty on the C5 due to it being tougher than a forged lever.

Other than that though, they are exactly the same right?

I can't really warrant spending an extra 45 dollars for levers the look and are exactly the same other than being forged and not billet.

The levers are $180 with free priority mail shipping. I know there has been a lot of talk about ASV here. A lot of people want them but can't justify the high price. These cost no more than pazzo's or CRG's, but have a better warranty and in my opinion look better.

ASV make some trick levers! I've got a set on my wish list for sure but what you need to know is that ASV has a few different lines. I think the levers you're looking at are the Dirt or off-road specific levers.

No they have the same line up for the Street. C5 are 5-year and F3 are 3-year. It boils down to CNC or forged. Other than that the levers are identical according to who I spoke with.

Definitely do not need dirt levers, already have a set on my RM. I've been looking at the streets, and just bought mine for $180 shipped.

Awesome, I didn't know that they made the F3 in the street lever. Do we know if the Pazzo/CRGs are forged/CNC'd. I'd love to know the fit/finish of these levers, if you can post some pics of the levers once installed that would be great.

Yeah I can definitely do that. They should be sent out either tomorrow or early next week. I will post pics. Supposedly the website I bought mine from is the only current dealer with F3's in stock due to a relationship between the owner and the owner of ASV.

Thats why when I saw them I was confused on the difference. Until then I only knew of ASV making one type of street lever.

Just an update, ASV shipped over 300 levers back because of a flaw in the anodizing that was not up to their specs so it will be another week or two before I get mine. Oh well! I still want them and its not like anyone else has them right now.

yeah it's hard to get the anodizing right on forged alu. it's good that they're not just trying to push them through with sub-par finishing

The F3's are brand new for street bikes. Make sure you can wait a week or two for the levers because of what I said in a few posts earlier.

Of course I want the Silver Levers and they are only available in the C/5 Billet ones.

Also I am not seeing any Buell lever so what do they cross-fit? R1, GSX, ?????

Found it............ after much debate I am going to stick with my CRG levers, until Buellchick decides to get some levers then maybe I can con her into buying the ASV C/5's in Silver and swap me for my CRG levers.

on supercycles you just have to email the guy and he caan get them for you. I mentioned this earlier, I don't know why he just doesnt put Buell XB as an option.

I got an email from the guy who's site I listed above on monday. He is in ASV VIP list so his shop will be one of the first to get them. He said that ASV told him they are shipping them to him sometime this week. Hopefully that still stands true and I will get mine next week sometime. Thats the last I heard.

Well, I finally got them along with a free pair of maxx riding sunglasses for the wait. They are perfect, I am definitely happy with my purchase. I was stupid though and got too excited when installing the clutch lever. I broke the bolt and now I am stuck until I can get one from the dealer, which hopefully has one in stock. Any suggestions on a temporary hold? Right now I just put the bolt back in there and its held on by about 4 threads, just no lock nut. :(

Ok, finally got my levers from Supercyclestore.com. Great news to report, because my order took so long to go threw and because I was cool about it and didn't cancel my order, (David) the owner upgraded my order from the F3 levers to the C5 levers for free. So I got Matte Black C5 levers in Standard length with Custom Silver adjuster knobs for $195 shipped. What do you think.
