Ok guys, hopefully this is just a beginner problem and I don't have to spend more than 30-minutes fixing this problem. I purchased my 12R two weeks ago and the battery is 3 months old. The bike hasn't been riden more than 25 miles in the past 2 months and now when I go to start it, I get a click in the battery compartment rather than the sound of the starter turning over. Sometimes it will crank on the 2nd or 3rd try, other times it may take a few minutes, but at least it will start eventually. Manual says many technical things that I just don't understand. Does anyone have experience with this issue?

Check your battery connections. Charge your battery and get a load test on it. If it goes from there check voltage regulator and possibly stator.

Good luck!

plug it in to a trickle charger :)

Try swapping your relays with each other if ^their ideas^ don't work out. This will reveal a bad relay if that is the cause.

I would take the battery out.Test it to see if it has a backbone then replace or reinstall.;)

I took the battery out of my 09 Bolt and the bolt was not dependable tight.Try and see if they are a little loose.
