I've seen a pic somewhere of a mess vent cover that replaces the stock soild cover around the buell gas cap to allow more air to the filter. Are threse good ideas? Where do I find? Thanks:)

you find it at a buell dealer...i'm guessing you have a pre-2005.

from 2005 on they had the grill standard.

you can mod your current or buy a new or used airbox cover. ;)

when they order a new airbox-cover, they will get the new version.

what kind of dealer asks the client for partnumbers???

tell them if they won't look in their system, to look at the catalogue in the buell site: catalogue, page 12 (http://a1264.g.akamai.net/7/1264/1354/afcfbbd0c3dad9/www.buell.com/en_us/_media/pdfs/gear/BuellRetailCatalog_en_US.pdf)

It all depends on what color you want. If you order the old solid colors you will get it without the vent. There are certain models/years that have the solid colors and the vent. Like mine is racing red so I got the 2010 XB12XT cover in racing red cause it comes with the vent.
