Anyone keep objects on there bike to take care of less than carring people in traffic that cut you off. New to the bike thing but my uncle has been ran off the road by crazy people and kept cue balls in his saddle bag to take care of that sort of problem. He was a little hard core though.:D

My bike's pretty loud and bright but just the other day, an elderly couple pulling out of a casino, pulled right into my (middle) lane. I got over in time, the couple completely oblivious. The driver just about **** himself when I knocked on his window at about 35. I'm always wearing gloves; either carbon or Ti knuckle protectors. I've been known to smash side mirrors...:D

One of my harley buddies was riding with his friends and this 16 year old saw them and still pulled out infront of them. So at the next light they pull up to his car and kicked in most of the fenders before he took off. :D:D:D

Bullet Proof, I carried the service model XD357 all day every day in a cheap uncle mikes inside the waist with retention strap right above the Ol pecker. Give it a slight angle so the barrel sticks into the crease of the leg and not right into your pelvic bone and you're in business. those paddle and "conceal" holsters for full frame pistols are a joke. just leave your shirt untucked or tuck it in the front with a decent sized belt buckle and no one will ever notice. If they do wonder I promise no one will ever approach you to find out.

1stxb9r

Texas has open carry permits? THATS BADA$$[up][up] Indiana only has concealed carry but for $125 you can get a lifetime permit!

Nuage420b
09-09-2009, 09:25 PM
Not sure but if they don't it doesn't stop anyone. once you have the CC it doesn't really matter if they see a bulge or the grips peecking out of your jacket or shirt. every one in texas is armed. it tripped me out coming from MD/D.C. where guns are the devil. and to see the signs at malls and **** and all over the cities only certain buildings prohibit weapons. Bars, movie theaters, and govt buildings so far as I can tell. every where else no one cares. And people wonder why crime rates are so bad in DC and MD yet virginia and west virginia right next door are considerably safer and allow guns.

1stxb9r you can open carry in IN if you have your permit to carry. Unless the laws have changed lately.
Devil, is that a pancake Don Hume?
Nuage, in front is not really comfortable while riding for me.
I have a blackhawk serpa awsome holster but it sets right on my hip bone when standing.

Nuage420b
09-09-2009, 09:50 PM
I dont like the Serpa. most of the guys out here buy them cuz it's BLACKHAWK!! I have a safari land with the thumb roll retention. Far and away more secure during combat no chance of knocking off of safe or half cocking or even full cocking (even though when i go out I'm chambered and half cocked on fire) i hate seeing POGs walking around the FOB with their high speed **** and you can tell their arms swinging has knocked their selectors. I wouldn't know about riding comfort with the pistol in front as I just learned how to ride up in MD and all my guns are still in Texas. but i can imagine it sucks but I have issues with holstering in the small of the back. It's not a natural draw, it's slower, easier for someone to disarm you if the situation arose, and for me less concealable back there. Just like wearing all your riding gear you sacrifice a little comfort for the greater protection right? I think that's why I will look into the shoulder harness if i chose to carry while i ride, or even a snub nose in the small jacket pocket would suffice. It's cool to bust out a big 45 or something that just looks menacing but truth be told a gun is a gun is a gun and it should only be drawn to eliminate a threat to life, whether i draw a snubby 38 special or a DE .50 who ever is on the wrong end shouldn't have time to figure out anything other than "I'm HIT?!?!?!"

buellet proof
09-09-2009, 10:12 PM
Truth to be told its really not cool to bust out anything whether is big or small cause that usaully means you are in a situation of kill or be killed. Hopefully I never have to go threw that and if I do I hope I'm in total control and prepared to deal with the situation that is put before me. Most important thing to me is the safety of my kids+wife, myself, and defenseless people. In that order.
Carry safe and responsible..

Have you guys heard of the FN 5.7 Shoots a sub machine gun round through it that goes through body armor if you have a full jacket. Designed for that purpose. Lighter than a 9 and holds 20 rounds. Banned in a few states already. SWEET gun. 900 is a little out of my budget for now. :( Get yours before Obama takes your rights away. Anyone find it weird that as soon as Obama took office ammo supplies have deminished and have still not caught up. Thats how hilter took over Germany before WWI.

http://www.zazzle.co.uk/guns+obama+gifts

Nuage420b
09-10-2009, 01:48 AM
. . .screaming. the 5.7 isn't a pistol that shoots a "submachine gun round" any round can be fired from a sub machine gun. sub machine guns are just a name some use for very short rifles like the MP5 or the UMP. which shhot 9mm and 45 respecitively. the 5.7 is pretty much the round we use in the army out of our M16 platform rifles. it's just a small high velocity round, anything can punch through "bullet proof vests" you can slick up or teflon tip any round and it will slide through armor. not to mention after the first round any follow up shots are gonna punch through. And for those who are gun rights nuts you probably know that D.C. just got their rights to own fire arms back about a year ago. I highly doubt Obama wants to start a fight with NRA right now to take them away. Ammo has been down for years dude? There has been a little bit of a conflict going on over in the middle east for the past 8-9 years which has been using up the ammo surplus. And the drop before he took office was extreme republicans fearing the new dem office. The stocks will rise again. The factories can only produce so fast and with such little material available. I don't support gun control by any means but I don't support Muckraking either.

FN 5.7 are bad a$$ I wanted one since the first time I seen one. Awesome pistol. But you can't get the round you are talking about around here.

The p90 was built around the 5.7 x 28mm. Thats what I meant. Also I doubt a 45 coated with teflon will pierce a vest at 300 meters and a helmet at 240 meters .
I have never had a problem getting ammo until January. I find it hard to believe that after that scare and 9 months later I cant go to any walmart and get 45 acp. Found some at a mom and pop place in town though. Real expensive. I find that odd. Look at the ammo shelf at walmart if you dont think there is something going on. Also other than California Illinois has the most restrictive gun laws in the country. Where was Obama make laws at?? Obama is pushing for ammo to be made with gun powder that goes bad after 5 years so people cant stock pile. If you think Obmama has no gun agendas you need to watch the news. Watch Glenn Beck. See the truth with out the smoke screen the media usually puts up for the anti Christ closet muslim jew hater. :)

Man I love those p99's! I run with a Springfield XD40 subcompact myself. Never pulled it out, and like others have said, I hope I never have to.

as for shiz to toss in traffic. PENNIES! They get peoples attention thats for sure, and if they snitch you out its much easier to play off as an accident rather than a cue ball(lol). Iv also heard marbles, or ball bearings are great. But again harder to explain if the po po come a knockin.

Washington is an Open Carry state also but we arent half as lax as Arizona or Texas. You cant openly carry in your vehicle and that includes motorcycles.... But toss it in your tank bag or backpack. Iv thought of crafting some kind of permanent holster somewhere withing quick reach but completely concealed. Im not sure what the laws would be on that...

Also +1 on CF or poly knuckles, and steel toed boots!

Screamin,

I came to a complete stop with both feet down because I started fishtailing the rear tire (because I stopped without thinking, just grabbed the brake and held on) slammed down into 1st and took off, revved out the bike, and just imagine how loud that was in a small downtown area, slammed on the brakes at their window, took a swing and just saw mirror and plastic going everywhere. Then I took off running until I maxed out 2nd and finally slowed down and split some lanes to get away ;)

It better have scared them because they sure as hell scared me! Usually if I have to I just hit their mirror hard enough to scare them or bend the mirror back towards the front of the car but I guess it was full force blow that time.

Old thread, but I figured I could add my two cents since I'm learning how to use my new camera and needed to do something with these pictures (still too cold to shoot the bike)
Any ways the wife and I have our faves.... and here they are!

me, my wife and my dog was on a 6 hour trip from Louisiana to Texas were I was picking up my bike and my dog. well it was cold that day and all we have is a car and the bike so my wife and dog was in the car and I was in front on the bike. we had pulled over so I could warm up and so my wife could walk the dog. When she opened the door the dog jumped out the door and ran across the road, well there was a guy in a Lincoln truck that even though he seen the dog decided not to stop and hit the dog. Luckily the dog was ok and he came back over to were we was and I hoped on my bike no gloves or helmet freezing cold and hauled butt to to catch the truck that did it and i seen him up the road on the side of the road checking to see if my dog messed up his truck. As I passed by the truck i slowed down and gave his drivers door a swift kick then I pulled over to kick his head in and as I was getting off my bike he ran into his truck and sped off.

i hate dumbasses like that, probably some rich prick that didn't care. I mean if there was no time to slow down that is one thing but just to not even bother tapping the breaks or maneuver just isn't right. Glad your dog is ok.

My carry toys a Sig 220 .45 and a Kahr PM9, Usually both or at least the Kahr in my back pocket. Always two folders though. I like the Cold Steel Recon cause its tough as hell but its big. The Spyderco is much slimmer.

Slice or puncture, its all the same to me!

I don't carry, but if i did, it would be this

Ronin1: If you like slim try the Benchmade Pardue 530. It's really easy to forget you have it and it's so slim if you fall on it you still won't feel it there. I use mine as a utility knife more than anything and it's a f*ing tank.

as for anti traffic.. Carbon fiber knuckled gloves hold up very well against side mirrors. Side mirrors don't hold up too well against CF knuckled gloves though.

For a folder I carry a Kershaw Ken Onion... Not as slim, but I like the spring assist and the grip is very ergonomic (easy to grip firmly for wet work)lol.

Yeah, all the "experts" say its not good for personal defense (not enough stopping power with shells) but I think a face full of bird shot at four feet will stop anyone... Besides what is more fun to shoot than a compact hand cannon???? I cant think of much...[smirk]

Has anybody ever thought of bringing any of these in like a little baggy or something readily available?
Thats great and all until you run them over yourself some other time.

Ya I bet you really pointed your weapon at a driver while riding, good job on making gun owners look bad.

Ok besides the show and tell firearms do you guys actually do this crap. I mean come-on. Some idiot cuts you off because they are yacking on their cell phone are you are going to take out a windshield, door, etc... Not to mention the risk of getting arrested and charged with vandalism or other criminal charge. I get pissed too at poor driver behavior but I try to remember we are all human and make mistakes. Some more then others! But I am certainly not about to pull out my Sig in anger or frustration. If I am breaking leather it is because I fear my life and rounds are going down range.

And to throw stuff at people. What if you miss. What if the shattered glass hits the kids in the back seat. What if the nails flatten another 10 cars behind you as other people run it over. I don't know. Sometimes you just got to let stuff slide and realize people generally are bad drivers and to always have an out.

In fantasy land some of you have some great ideas, but I am not about to go to jail and lose my job because someone can't drive. Or risk harming innocent people.

Someone flips you off, cuts you off, acts like an idiot. Who cares. Let them get all stressed out and huff and puff. I have too much fun on my bike to let other idiots spoil what limited riding time I have!

Ok now that I am off my soapbox. I think BBs are the way to go. Generally won't damage like larger objects will. Small and easy to carry. Make a heck of a lot of noise hitting metal. And easier to claim it was something kicked up by your tire verse malicious intent.

Nice on the bb's everything else seemed like it carried the risk of manslaughter! The thread was old though so I might see a few of these people in the federal prison when I start! LOL

Not to escalate things, but a 'friend of mine' has mounted a 35mm film canister by screwing through the lid (or 3M tape) onto the under tail plastic. Filled with ball bearingsā€¦

Looks like a bike part when mounted and I... um, HE can kick his foot back and knock the canister off, leaving the top still mounted to the bike. It's all about plausible deniability:D
