I had my bike remapped at the dealer on the first tank of gas on only town driving got 260km on 14L of fuell. Second tank after, with freeway driving of 160km @ 100-120km/h got 286km before the light came on. Does any body else get that milage i used to get around 220km on 14L if i push 180km. Would like to know the bike feels as powerfull as before and much smooter at high 4500-5500rpm.

I have an 09 with only 1400 miles on it and got 200km out of 12.3 liters of Esso Super bleifrei. So you are gettin better mileage than me. What year is your bike LionBuell?

I have an `06 with almost 24000km on. Just for some more info 3rd tank got 246km the light came on this morning so don`t know the liters usually on 14L did about 5km at 180km/h yesterday, and some hard riding in the twistys so its definately much better. mxchay a remap is when you overwrite the factory programmed ecu with a more optimised map. They can also change it for more power low or higher in the rev range, or for economy so there is lots of options. If you have know how you can do it with ECM Spy, i dont so i gave it to the professionals. Any one correct me if i`m wrong.[smirk][up]

Ulysses 06, 20,000km,

On a trip from Regina SK to Winnipeg MB, I was getting 4L/100km at a 100k/hr, on the way back the mileage dropped to 6L/100km, most likely because I was cruising at a 140km/hr. Which could explain the lower gas mileage. The road from Winterpeg to Regina is pretty straight and a touch boring.... I was a bit freaked out when the gas light came out in the middle of nowhere. But then like magic a gas station appeared, still in the middle of nowhere.

'08 SX9SX second tank with me, 48mpg (4.8/100). Light came on @ 140 mile (226km).

Cool mornings, local roads/highways, no interstate, pretty mild rider. Couple of burns down a runway to answer the ancient japanese question of wotashedo.

I have an 06 Uly and regularly get between 140 - 160 miles before the light comes on..... 130 if I'm really kicking the arse out of it. :D

My 2 mates have Aprillia Tuono's and they get around 80 - 110 tops...... The fools!!!

had a comfortable ride with a mate last weekend riding steadily at around 3000rpm's mostly at 100kms.Had some fun in the twisty climbs but didn't rev much over 4500rpm. Filled up with 98 octane and light flicked on at 285k's on the trip meter around a bend then extinguished.came on to stay at 299k's and i filled up at 314k's. 13.84 ltrs to fill back up.09 XB12Ss

geez Lion, your fuel consumption is great!

i get about 210km town riding or touring 2 up, fully loaded. which is also OK for me, considering it is a 1200 and not the lightest bike and i like to ride it with enthusiasm since the exhaust mod.

I got 186 Mi. on a tank last week. Filled up with 4.16 gal when I got home so that was 45 mpg. For you non-US guys out there that's 310 Km. 'Course I was on the warning light for the last 27 miles.

You do realize some of you are talking about different size tanks? Different tank sizes makes most of this thread meaningless.

That's a pretty impressive number for the bigger tanks.

My little tank gets around 175k if we're good and about 140-150k if we're really good.

Still, I didn't get this bike to hypermile.

Use up all the gas and bring back heavy horses.

well Lionbuell is on a Uly ans so am I, so I would assume our tank sizes are the same.

Same here, '09 Uly XT. That last tank was 70 fwy mi. @ avg. 85 mph, then 36 @ avg, 75, then finally got 40 miles in the local twisties going balls out followed by limping home on the fwy 40 mi @70. I wish where I live I could ride off freeways all the time but there you have it. Anyway, 45 mpg is better than most POS econobox cages and one hell of a lot more fun. I'll take it.

06 Uly usually ride 2 up with the wife and get roughly 220 to 230 kms @110 to 120km/hr. Now with trailer i'm not sure but it hasn't changed too much.
