fuel pump removal

Can you pull the fuel pump (05 xb9r) without removing the swing arm? Thanks for the help.

Nope. It's got to come off or at least partially off

I read somewhere that you could disconnect the shock and lower the swing arm to a point where the fuel pump can be taken out.
But when i looked at my lightning it didn't seem like there would be enough room.

Yep unbolt the shock, let the swing arm drop as low as it will go. Then rotate and pull the pump. Thanks for the input.

Say does anyone know where I could get a fuel pump that would be able to run methanol or higher octane fuels with out damage to the pump unit?
