I just aquired a race ecm part # 32801-02y. I was an impulse buy at a decent price but now I don't think it will work with my '07 XB12Ss. What does this part # work with? If not my bike that's OK because I can sell or trade it for other stuff that I want. If it will work with my bike can I get a TPS reset somewhere other than a Buell dealer so I won't void the warrenty? Last question, can I use it with stock exhaust for a while or should I wait until I can do both together. Thanks for any input you (or anyone else) can give.

race ecm for '03/'04 xb9, ecm production probably 2002.

use the stock ecm with stock pipe, it will work better & smoother. if you want some better performance, cut the white wire.

thanks for the input LeFox. I guess I'll have to sell the ecm

i've seen this mentioned before, but I must know exactly what this does before I try it.

keeps the bike within environmental standard, that's all.

I just did this and will find out tonight how much it helps. Also instead of cutting and possibly voiding the warrenty I just pulled the pin out of the plug so I can put it back when bike goes to dealer.

yea...make sure you seal of the hole in the plug to keep water away.
also cover the pin with some tape. ;)

32801-02Y isnt even a good number through Buell. It is possible that it is a ECM parted out from a race kit, which Buell does not allow me to break down anymore to see if it came in a kit. If I remember right it fits 03-04 XB9

Yes, the instruction sheet says kit # 32814-02y across the top. And then says kit contents: ECM, XB Firebolt part # 32801-02y. The ECM itself also has that same #. Since the instruction sheet didn't say XB9 or XB12 I did some searching and found a thread on Badweb abou this part # and it indicated that it was a race ECM from a kit for the XB9. I was looking for a difinitive answer before I tried to install it.

Thanks
