I have put Michellin Pilot Road 3 on mine lately... Very happy with them!
Like Drunk Uncle mentioned it depends on what you are using your bike for.

The Pilot Road 3 are great for touring in different conditions. Excellent grip and i hope Ã* good durability...

I'm really liking the Pirelli Scorpion Trails I put on my XT, pretty good for the occasional dirt, gravel road.

GARTDOG, were are you located? I have a rear Pirelli Scorpion Trail with really good tread I'd sell stupid cheap. It was mounted on a rim I bought, and I have no use for it. I just wanted the rim to have it powder coated.

I put Avon Storm on mine. I commute, 2 up ride, and try to twisties when I can, Tires have been good and tread life does not seem to be an issue. 2k on them and probably another 3k to go
