My 04 Firebolt XB12R just died on me. I had just ridden home for lunch, let it sit for 30 minutes or so. Came out to head back to work, turned key to on, waited, then hit starter. Started to crank, then the whole thing just died. No lights, no sounds, nothing. Key on/off, out/in, on/off again, still nothing. I'm guessing a fuse? Main fuse? I did not notice an audible pop, but there could've been one. I'm really hoping it's not a big deal. Thanks in advance.

Check your grounding and clean your battery terminals. If that doesn't work, then check your fuses and relays.

Have battery checked under load also at an auto parts store...it's free.

It's alright, I'm fairly certain we've all had "special" moments with our bikes.

I've had the fuel pump fuse pop on me twice already!

Once was a few weeks ago when I ran it out of gas. I didn't think much of it at the time, but it took me a while to figure it out. The second time it happened I knew just where to look, but this time I didn't run it out of gas...so what gives? Anyone else popping the fuel pump fuse?

Yep crazy things happen but it sure is nice to have this platform to ask questions...
