As I stated in my last posting I will be attending my first track day in a couple weeks. With that being said I have been looking for bike "protection." I don't particularly like the look of the frame pucks but thought they should help, I also saw a sight called darkhorsemoto.com that has front and rear axle sliders that look pretty ....although I do not really like the idea of covering the open axles(its one of those subtle cool aspects)

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Once again thank you all for all your input!!!!

This is the best site I have found in a long time!!!

the axle protectors do their job very well, so for the track, i would fit them.
they can be easily removed & fitted back if needed.

you also have the crash protectors but these are a bit pricy for just a day.
although if you drop, it will protect more then what it costs.

the above, in addition of the frame-pucks, will give your bike the best protection

If you look at ed Bargy's school they tell you what you need to do. It is for all makes, but you can print out the list and use it as a guide.

Wish there was some sort of header protection available...

SOOOOO glad it wasn't on the left side... otherwise I am sure I would have punched a hole in the primary cover and wouldn't have been able to ride it home...

Wish there was some sort of header protection available...
there is a kind of shield for it...
or you can easily make it yourself.
