I've been offered an 08 (new) 1125R. I have an XB9 Lightning which I'll probably keep for now as the Dealer does not want ANY trade.
What can I expect from the 1125R? I'm not a speed freak but want a piece of history and the price is right.
Any advice / comments?

Screw the 1125, go with your first instincts, get the Firebolt. I could have had an 1125R cheaper than my Bolt but everytime I looked at it I would have felt like ****. Sorry but the 1125 (either one) is ugly. Again, go with your heart. Wayne

I love the 1125R!...looks are easily changed, the performance will make a firebolt look like a pocket rocket.

I switched from an XB9R, and I can honestly say I wouldnt go back. the throttle response is so much better, and, let's face it, the rotax motor is probably a little stronger than that of the bolts.

08's had a hard start with a lot of problems, but what can you expect from a first year bike... most, if not all, problems have been fixed (save for a wheeping clutch cover, but even that is under warranty.)

I'm leaning towards Racepro's comments (sorry guys). I visited the Ha Ha Harley Dealer today and I just can't get on with the elephant ears on the 1125.

Got offered a 2009 Firebolt for $7,900 all in...almost there!

the 1125r is a great bike it is my first buell and the best handling bike I have ever owned . the looks get a little get use to but after a while it grows on u it looks different than any other bike out there . I am sorry that they are gone now but I am saving it for my son. I can tell u this I ride with a lot of jap bikes and they can't touch in any corner there is ! we started out on a ride that famous around here lots of sharp turns and wheel lifting hills some turns are 90. I was fourth and buy the end I was in the parking lot waiting for those Jap bike to show up! kiss my buell riding elephant ear ass:p:D
