I've been trying to figure out how to best use a rear stand for the bike when it's parked. I have some misgivings about the ones that just lift the swingarm, as they appear to depend on the rib on the swingarm to keep the bike from sliding back (due to the slope of the swingarm). ASB sells swingarm sliders that have a slot in them that lets them act as lift spools. I wanted to see if anyone had experience with these, and to ask if they just lift via the long rod that goes through the axle or whether there's a "shoulder" on the sliders themselves that go into the axle some distance. Thanks!

FWIW...I life mine from the swing arm...as it wasn't wide enough to life from any kind of spools. I've never had a problem with the bike sliding. Vortex rear stand, btw.

I just lift from the swingarm too and have never had a problem at all.

I think I'd be more nervous about lifting it from a bolt on product.

Just my thoughts.
