Simple change from the clear 194 bulb to a red one. Cost $3.00 for two bulbs. Tell me what you think.

The first 3 pics are regular pics, the last two are the "night scene" mode on the camera. It looks better in person, but you get the idea.

Not as easy as the R. The whole headlight assembly had to come off to get to the bulb. But it wasnt bad.

Guess you guys don't realize what can happen with a red light on the front. If fuzz see you with it, you automatically get a ticket. If you are lucky they may make you take it off the bike right then. Had that happen to a friend.
It does look cool though.

Yeah, it is really subtle with the headlight on though. It shows up a lot more with it parked with the light on by itself.

At the risk of sounding like an old lady... there's a reason all road vehicles have red in the rear and amber in the front. Stupid drivers are trained to expect red to mean the rear of a vehicle.

What if some some SUV driving idiot on a cellphone thinks they're looking at the back of the bike? I know the headlights should be a dead giveaway, but still, on a dark 2 lane road you could confuse oncoming cars and cause them to cross over.

I'm not trying to knock it, just want to be sure you've thought about the risk.

That said, it does look pretty awesome [cool]

Thanks Mick for your concern, and of course I thought about it and I totally understand what you mean. If you look at the third pic, you can see that there is almost no red visible with the low beam on. And while riding it at night it is not even noticeable to oncoming vehicles due to the angle of the fly screen and that it is not bright at all. After all, it is just a 5 watt wedge. The last two pics are "amplified" due to the night scene setting on my camera.

I'd do amber, just to limit giving the LEOs a reason to take notice. I had a bud who had some sort of green marker lights on his car. Local officer made him dismantle the lights on the spot to avoid a ticket.

lol, I passed a CHP with green LED windscreen washers, and turned them off quite quickly after I remembered they were still on.

The officer pulls me over about 2 miles down the highway after they U-Turned, to give me the ticket anyway.
