D&D is the loudest thing on the face of the earth! I added baffles from SuperTrapps to mine, helped alot, but ready to sell it...

Big...
You might like the Saron or the Torquehammer (both are like a grand, though), check 'em out on youtube. You can also see my one-off prototype in a thread "built my own exhaust" which is here on the 1125R site somewhere...happy hunting

D&D is the loudest...by far, and you lose some low end power, but gain some on the upper end of the spectrum from what my buddy has told me. Youtube some vids for sound expectations, then google some dyno charts.

I cant affford 2 grand for a flippin muffler! I have a D&D, 700 bucks pissed away! Real POS! I actually like the way the factory anchor can sound with some tweking for everyday riding. but look @ the link to youtube on my one off prototype. Sounds pretty damn good if I do say so myself...

THE D&D for the most is overly loud. Witchita Alefs HD dealer had loudest pipe contest their 08 1125r with the D&D killed the straight pipes and open headers, its been awhile but iam sure it was well over 150decibles. Just to give you an idea how loud. Cars should never side swipe ya.

this is just what i heard from my mechanic but its like 180dbs but other than overly loud was anything wrong with it? i have a harley to and loud is good!

Your mechanic sounds right CRRED its killer[down]
Witchita guys said its more powerful than stock and like it more. Pro is its angled away from bike Con is being so loud and when you put it on you must follow directions or you will get holes they said they had leaks in it, but where going to take it off and follow the book and it did work out for them

Too loud sucks. D&D are notoriously too loud. Are you wanting loud to draw attention to yourself or...?

Also, I'd think the addition of a slip-on would require some kind of remap. Freer breathing means the bike would run leaner. Although, the ECM may be able to compensate for it.

THE HMF that i have needed no mapping! Its also cheap 349.00 free shipping!

If I had the big bucks I would have got that full FMF pipe! However I have read that it still comes with the carbon can like the slip on and not the one shown on the full system!

Live and learn gentlemen. I went with the jardine slip on on my xb9sx and it wasn't loud enough so I'm getn the D&D slip on in late feb. or so. You may not want the loudness like us obnoxious types but it's better to just save up and get what YOU want, even if you have to wait a little longer. Pinch the pennies where you can and make yourself a "bike fund" piggy bank. Comments? Comments?

Heres my custom exhaust.Im waiting right now for my 2 into 1 collector from megs and then I will have a drummer style downpipe. The downpipe being used now is the one that came out of the stock can .I had a spare cutout muffler I chopped. This thing sound great!!It sounds nothing like a jardine or a hmf, fmf. No packing to burn out either its all full 304 stainless.Even the packing!!I disliked my jardine the raspy sound drove me nuts. And my packing was gone at 4k.Ya 4k what a joke.

kool lookin pipe. maybe a few pics how you've got it mounted and def a video. thumbs up on building a pipe. we don't have enough selections out there,...... SOOOO.... slap some paint and a logo on that thing and start shipn em out. if the paint job and price is good enough you'll get business.especially wen other buellers find out theres another pipe on the market.;)
