Hello Kleven,

It's not necessary to change the ECM with a Remus.

When you buy one, keep in mind that you've got two versions of the Remus 2008 exhaust, a 'bad' and a 'good' one.

The good one is recognizable on the stronger suspension brackets for the bellyspoiler and a plate that's been welded in the front triangle.

The picture on that site is from a Remus for the 2003 until 2007 XB models. So, I can't say if they offer 'good' or 'bad' Remus exhausts.

The 2008 has got an inbuilt catalytic converter and the tailpipes are cut obliquely.

I've ordered mine at my dealer (official Buell dealer in Belgium).

If you buy one online be sure you get a good one. I've had two bad ones, the brackets for the belly spoiler broke off every time. Two times replaced in warranty at my dealer. If you buy online warranty is more difficult. So you are warned. ;)

Twinmotorcycles in the Netherlands is selling Remus for Buell.
Unfortunately they also show a picture of a previous 2008 Remus.

Maybe you can send them an e-mail with the question if they are offering the updated version (with the stronger mounts) of the 2008 Remus??

When you "bay" something, is it similar to purchasing it with curency? or is it like the Boston Tea Party?

Dude, he is from Norway... English probably isnt his best language... you should give him some credit for being intelligent enough to actually speak another language (probably speaks several) instead of pointing out a spelling error.

I think Midnight was joking. And it looks like Jakkel understood it as a joke.:)

yes, I am sorry for making it sound as though I was angry... I just have a couple foreign friends who get really pissed off when people critique their spelling as English is not their first, or second language in most cases. :D

and it was Kleven who had the spelling error, not Jakkel

Hello Guys,

Does anybody know if there is any difference between REMUS and SEBRING exhaust (mufflers). Both look the same and I already heard that both (austrian) manufacturers are using the same technology. In addition to that REMUS has caame (separated) from SEBRING.

I am newcomer to the forum (I have been reading it for a couple of months firstly then registered 'cause I really like it) so if you share your experience it would be appreciated.

Thanks!
