This is for anyone that is considering getting a Drummer muffler for their Buell.

I just took the muffler off my XB9R and I've shipped it off to KD Fab to get the conversion done. I'm planning on posting some pics and maybe a HOW-TO after I get it back.

I also had a phone conversation with Kevin Drum himself 'cause I had some questions regarding the transaction and the upgrade. What a cool guy. It's nice to know that the work is being done by someone who is himself a Buell enthusiast and has a passion for doing the work properly. He's a really friendly guy and was happy to answer any and all questions I had about his product. I'm really looking forward to getting the finished product back and I'll share my experience when it's all completed.

That's why the drummer is the best pipe currently made. RIP micron.

Also went with the Drummer on my 06 XB9. Great service with about a two week turn-around. $400 plus shipping. Had the 9 dynoed with Drummer, K&N, remap, with results of max HP 82.92 @6960 rpm, max torque 69.5 @ 5850 rpm. Very happy with these mods. Cheers.[up]

Hell yes! I am %100 happy with it. I love it. I sounds so good! That sound it makes turns a lot of heads. I am missing the smaller front bracket in the pic, just picked one up from Harley. I had to order it. Can you believe that ****? It is a universal front exhaust can bracket for all XB's, and they dont even carry them in stock. Harley SUCKS!

I have a drummer and am pleased with the performance, sound and the service. I live in NC so when I got my drummer, instead of shipping the stock core to KDFAB, I drove it up there. Kevin is a great guy and a true Buell enthusiast. He has a kick ass xb12s and a nice tuber.

I'm going to try Hawk out here by the end of the year. I've talked to Randy and he's been great. He told me he doesn't even want payment until I put it on and am 100% satisfied.

I found a stock pipe on Craigslist for pretty cheap (I would imagine the stock cores are going to go up up and away in price soon if you live in California). I'm going to send it to Hawk. I think people in CA are gonna start keeping their stock cores because rumor is in 2012 bikes will be subject to the same SMOG restrictions/testing as cars. It sure would be a byatch if you couldn't pass smog and you no longer had your stock pipe.

also quick story--I called Hawk to leave a message for Randy about some questions I had about his pipe. It was evening in CA so it was hella late on the east coast, I didn't expect anyone to pick up my call, just leaving a message...The dude answered the phone! He was still in the shop working!! The guy has a passion for his work. You gotta like that. Super nice guy too.
