Just picked up my first Buell

Hey all just was looking for opinions on the purchase i just made. I just bought a 04 Firebolt for 2500 bucks today. Its got 7200 miles and its in pretty good condition. Im not sure what kind of exhaust it has but its definatly aftermarket and I was told that its got a "Race Kit"? He said its a screaming eagle exhaust with a stage one kit, whatever that means. Im new to the website but so far its been very informative. I'll post some pics tomorrow. Let me know what you think of the deal. Thanks Ryan from Jersey

Either its a good deal.
To find out if it has the race kit, look at the ECU. It will say "For Race Use Only" on it if it has the race kit

I never seen a firebolt up close but I sat on a XB12 lightning all my buds have Gsxr-R1-Cbrs then there's me. Tell me about the firebolt and what she's going to be like

Where exactly is the ecu? It's under the Front headlight fairing. Download a Firebolt service manual via the link at the top of this page. And congrats on the good deal, welcome to the Forum.

I took some pictures today. What do you think? It seems to have a bit of carbon fiber on it which is cool. Im still not sure what the exhaust is, maybe somemone can tell me.
