I have an '04 XB12S with 50,000 mi on it and a 100,00 mi warranty.At 45,000 mi the mechanic asked me to look out for some clatter he heard on deceleration.By the time 50,000 mi rolled around I was able to reproduce the clatter by blipping the throttle in neutral. At servicing time we looked for the noise and we found metal shavings in he oil pan,the piston rings had scored the cylinder walls, the valve stems had been beaten down a few mm's, the cam bushings were loose and rattled around. And they called it normal wear and tear with no one real source for the damage they were seeing.Bottom line, my warranty didn't stand up and they want me to buy a new engine for $5000.00.Clatter only gets worse. So dump that bike quick and give me a name of a good lawyler. Angel
