Hi Everyone!

I'm new to the bike the world.. and new to Buellxb.. but recently purchased a Blast... but since I have this ever present love for Cafe Racers.. would love to turn into to just that: a Cafe Racer!

I would like to make it look like one of these:

Any Thoughts??

I like the looks of it. Really clean.

Lose the Blast look and go for the CR look, it will not only look better but it won't seem so much as a chick bike.

One of the coolest Blasts I've seen, for a stripped down minimalism, cafe style, is from the photo gallery of BcRider.com (http://bcrider.com/guest2003.html)

I love cafe racer styling too, I'm working on making my CX500 into something like one

just how far and how much money do you want to put into the blast? I know a guy who has a couple he has done a lot of work on, I could send him over here to give you some pointers if you know the direction you want to go right now.

first things I would do to a blast is get different forks and wheels up front, the blast doesn't have a great set

then I'd go after losing weight on the frame and swing arm wherever you can

Firstly, thanks to everyone who replied..

I'm not really sure what direction I want to move in.. I'm just hung up on the clean lines of the MAC bike.. i can't seem to move past it..

I was even thinking about cutting out the square tube that is currently the main spine of the bike and replacing it with a curved round tube, but I just don't know enough about the physics of it all! I don't want to die riding the thing!

I'm looking for new forks.. and with it tires..

I just want it to be more "clean" and not so bulky!

If you guys check out the "cool blast i've ever seen" post.. that's actually a fairly easy conversion.. BUT it's still so bulky in the rear!

- I only like bulk in the rear on my women! haha

PS: that honda looks great!

Here's an update...

I met with a custom bike builder today.. the guy does awesome work... he's going to help me put the my ideal bike together!

That means:

- Custom Frame
- New Forks
- New Swing Arm
- New take, and seat
- New Tires and brakes..
- New bars

So .. that's pretty much a new bike now isn't it? haha

you could put your engine in one of these frames and throw a cafe racer fairing and some lights on it.

check out the bike "Patience"
xb engine in it, different oil pump and headers but otherwise pretty close to stock
it looks like they have two right hand forks from an XB on the front and made a front fender mount from it, kinda neat lol
