Attatch a playing card to your fork with a rubberband so the edge of the card just touches your spokes. Works awesome and is fairly inexpensive too!!:D

Personally i am going with the barker there is a discount on beull forums and bulliten board from puzzeld
D&d EBR also have systems avible but there in the 600+ range where the three above are 300-400 Barker is the only one who has proven dyno power increase

From all the data I've gathered and all the sound bytes I've listened to, If you have the money,(about a grand) the drummer is the one to have IMO. More low end grunt, more thump thump sound and not so loud everyone in a two block radius hates you.

HR1 is an exhaust where you can customize the color of the tip and the body. The torquehammer is horribly ugly. Stay away from the free spirits! as it doesn't fit properly and have TERRIBLE customer service, and theres a write up on here somewhere about it. Jardine is pretty good and relatively inexpensive. The slip on that D&D makes for our bikes is the loudest pipe they produce, thats what I heard anyway. Youtube has quite a few custom pipes, hit those guys up if you like what you see and you can proli get one made. Thats all I got so good luck

I highly recommend the FMF apex slip on! A lot of bang for the buck! Plus coming from a MX background its just plain bad ass to have a FMF pipe on my street bike!

Just wondering.....

AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO IS PARTIAL TO THE STOCK 1125CR EXHAUST? CALL ME CRAZY, BUT I THINK THE ORIGINAL LOOKS THE BEST/CLEANEST/ ETC. I KNOW ITS HEAVIER, MAYBE A BIT MORE QUIET AND A LIL STIFLING, BUT DOES IT NOT LOOK WAAAAY BETTER THAN ALL THE AFTERMARKET STUFF? I DUNNO, WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK? [confused][smirk][confused]:)

xtreme6669

I dis-agree... I think it looks bad and sounds like a lawnmower...? [confused] Plus they aim it right at the rear brake/wheel...

I have the upmost respect for Erik B, but what the heck were the engineers thinking? Exiting the exhaust straight on the rear disk and caliper? Thats about the stupidest design I've ever seen!

I kinda like the looks of the OEM exhaust on the CR. A bit strange looking, which fits the bike. Subjective I know.

I agree the sound leaves a LOT to be desire, but what stock pipe doesn't.

As for the exhaust blowing directly onto the rear rotor, there is NO excuse for that design flaw. My rear brake is totally useless and I contribute it to the exhaust design.

I too, highly recommend the FMF Apex. it is fairly inexpensive, a head turner, not overly loud, but loud enough that people know you are in the lane next to them, and like xtreme said
its just plain bad ass to have a FMF pipe on my street bike!

Dude, I've ridden behind Xtreme6669 with his FMF, It's definitely loud. I wouldn't say it's obnoxious though.

Awesomly,

I'm personally going with a custom pipe from keda-design.com (D_adams on BWB). Unless something changes my mind. I don't think you can beat it ... a collector-back pipe made to your spec for under $600. Plus, I think they sound nasty.

sadly ive been defected enough times with previous bikes... i need to keep the bike on the road as its my only transport atm and i do about 30,000km per anum.

you can install it in either direction: tapering toward the header is most quiet, taper down toward the muffler is medium and removed is loudest.

i hope it sits higher!!! ive already grounded out on a speedbump. eric's never been to an aussie petrol station judgeing by his design

xtreme6669
03-03-2010, 01:57 PM
I don't think its higher or lower at the lowest point but it dose not sit low for the whole length of the bike like the stocker.

I just ordered the Jardine RT5 carbon fiber slip-on.

For anyone looking for the same, I got mine from www.biohazardcycles.com for $446!!!

That's by far the best price I have seen ANYWHERE. The guy also responded pretty quickly to a question I had so customer service so far has been great too.

Quick question: for those that have added aftermarket pipes on your bike, did you have the ECM re-mapped? Where did you go? Cost? Also, the Jardine Pro-tune card, is that just for fuel delivery or does that take care of the re-mapping (or is that the same thing, sorry if this is a retarded question.)

Anyways, thanks for any input!

Well I just learned today that the reason for the stock exhaust design exiting directly onto the rotor and wheel was to break up the sound for decible standards. They needed it quiet to pass inspection. Go figure.

I like the look and fit of the stock exhaust, however I don't think the heat and carbon blowing at the rear brake is a great idea. Does anyone make red anodized turn out tips?

when I put my fmf apex slip on and k&n filter on my 09cr it was noticeably lean... on a cold start it would often crank, pop(like a gunshot) then die on the first attempt and then fire up on the next... I could get it to start first try only if I rolled the throttle on a little when cranking. It did start fine when warm thou. I got the ohiosportbike.com tuner shortly after and it's BAD ASS!! fattened the girl up and cleaned up the jerky low end... now it starts perfect and runs VERY strong! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a tune.

I ordered the FMF pipe and K&N air filter today! I checked out ohiosportbike.com for their tuning software, but being in AZ I probably won't have any problems with cold starts. What is the potential for negative long term effects with the FMF and K&N?

AussieBuellRida
03-10-2010, 02:22 AM
Hey RT.. Is that a full Barker system.. or just the slip on..??

xtreme6669
03-10-2010, 02:33 AM
where in az azcrrider? there is no need to worry about neg. effects, most riders run filter/slip on w/o a tune... it will be a bit lean but not enough to worry about. fattening it up will make it run better/cooler

you can get the exhaust from barker cheaper then puzzled sells them on his eBay site. talking to Tim i think you need to measure your headers because sometimes the cr has different size pipe then the r does. he also said to measure both of them because one guy had two different size pipes

For those of you who missed this. Ten pipes, one bike, one dyno.

More attention should be paid the Keda-design exhaust by D Adams. Hand made best sounding pipe and design I've seen so far. You'll find a lot of talk about it on the Bad Bueller site, many happy customers too.

I have to agree. The Keda sounds effin' nasty. If I ever wind upgrading to CR from my bolt, it would probably be the first thing I looked for. The way it sounds, you'd swear flames and poison were shooting out of the back of that thing. Another feather in the cap of product lines for Buellers by Buellers.

I'm sendind my exhaust to Randy at Hawk performance... I love the looks of the stock exhaust but don't like the heat on the back disc so I'm going with his other option of the split tip turn downs... should eliminate that while giving it a deeper pitch. At least thats what I'm hoping!

The Ebay price and the Braker price are the same as per the MAP pricing agreement as a authorized dealer for Barker. Now the forum pricing is less as everyone has already posted. $355 as opposed to $395.
