All my literature I have around me says that the regular Race ECM will work on the 2008 models. I cant call Buell today, but I will double check with them when they open on Monday to see what the real scoop is.

After sitting on hold for about 45 minutes and getting transfered about 6 times around the factory call center, someone was finally able to answer my question. The Race ECM does not fit the 2008 models. As of right now, they aren't even developing a replacement (so they tell me) I will keep you guys updated on anything that I find out in the future.

Thanks, is there any thing I could to make it run smoother with the d&d and k&n?

Get a hold of Techlusion and see if that will work on a 2008

I called Dobeck and asked them if they will be making a Techlusion for the 2008 models. They should have something in production by the end of the month is what I was told by them. Figured I would let you guys know about it.

I have a 2008 XB12R and I am finding the same results on the ECM. I am a Harley mechanic and I know a whole bunch as well and they are telling me the '08' models are a completely different animal. I talked to Kevin Drum at Drummer exhaust and he told me they have an '08' 12R for a race bike and the stock ECM is used. Thay freakes me out since with a pipe and airfilter on a Harley really leans it out without jetting or re-tuning the ECM. johnny@hdbikeparts.com http://www.hdbikeparts.com
