Looks freakin' sweet! What steps are necessary to airbrush on the transluscent plastic? Did you clear over it?

Thanks

madbuell

That thing is sick! Where did you get the sprocket cover? Are the chrome primary covers sportster parts?

BuellPartsGuy
10-26-2007, 07:57 AM
The sprocket is a, I believe, obsolete factory Buell accessory...

madbuell
10-26-2007, 10:40 AM
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! the front pulley cover comes from italy, from Free Spirits (www.freespirits.it or.com, i don't remember very well).
the primary covers are the originals polished and chromed.
but my favorit is the timing cover, that skull with the rubys in the eyes is sick!!!!!!!!;););););)

Woah!! That is a sick ride! Big ups! I'm thinking of changing the timing cover to the HD (Sportster) "Willie" skull, I've noticed that those aren't screws but more of a pull pin, is that right? Thanks in advance.

*By the way I'm new, this is a cool forum, didn't think many folks were into Buells.

madbuell
10-26-2007, 11:53 PM
yes you can fit the Sportster timing cover, is exactly the same size.
i had that one before, then i found this one and i thought was more appropriate for my bike so i changed it!

Cool, thanks. Sooooo....is there anything special I need to know to take the old one out and put the new one on? Like how to get the pins out?

madbuell
10-31-2007, 10:12 AM
you will need a drill to take them off and a special tool to put back new ones...
is easy but you need the right tools!:D:D:D

dude that is ****in sick! where did you get the paint done?? and where can i get a seat like that??

madbuell
11-06-2007, 01:47 PM
the seat cover comes from Italy, by Granucci selle.
the paint job was made from a guy here in Florida, he won several prizes on real flames, if you are from around here (Miami) i can give you the number...

devildog3042
11-06-2007, 03:54 PM
unfortunately i am not. im in north carolina on a military base.

devildog3042
11-06-2007, 03:55 PM
do you think Granucci selle will make a seat like that for an xb9r with my color preference?

madbuell
11-07-2007, 12:41 AM
i know they make seat covers for all bikes, in several different colors, so i don't see why not.
try to get in touch with them and see what they say, in case i can help you, i'm italian and i have friends that work with Granucci.

devildog3042

Sweet bike.Where did you get the carbon fiber frame cover at?[up]

How did you mount the Firebolt lights? I have a Firebolt but removed the fromt fairing and am in the process of mounting a lightning wind screen but to use the stock lights would be awsome.

Also where did you get the mirrors and grips? I had aftermarket grips but they were for a sportset and I had to mod them to fit and just had problems, also with removing the fairing I have to get some mirrors yours are very nice but I want something that is a little less "out there" so to speek, but have the same overall design.

Thanks for Any help

I know this is an XB board, and this thread is well beyond dead, but that MV is gorgeous. Brutales have always been my favorite, and if there was going to be any other bike in my basement to replace my XB, I'd want it to be a Brutale.
