Hey
I would like to know if, for example, a Buell XB9 engine is more durable than a 90's 1200cc H-D engine? of course the H-D is low horsepower ....
while Buell is newer technology?

A star that is twice as bright burns half as long.
Plus the two motors don’t interchange, so the point is moot.
What an odd question, especially for a used motorcycle and a $2000-$5000 price point.
Theres no reason that any modern motorcycle engine wouldn't get you to 100K. It is a machine, you just need to MAINTAIN it properly, and USE it properly. But at that price point who cares? Get another one in 10 years.
Now with the said. The older Sportster motors and the older buells, pre xb lines, could swap a few parts. But it was putting Buell parts into Sportster motor for more power.
