i think i have this issue sorted. i'll post my inexpensive fix and results as soon as the weather cooperates with some riding.
you know, i think i had a tail wind when it was unbearably hot.
this would explain the location on my thigh that was so ridiculously hot. i'll take a look at it.
interestingly, on the ride back the other way (same route in reverse), it got warm but not nearly...
super helpful....
yes, i did a search.
in stop and go traffic, my right thigh was simply roasting, as in it was very uncomfortable (probably just short of a 1st degree burn). why only the right side?
it seems...
update.
i pulled the battery. there was some corrosion on the positive terminal. not a lot, but visible. the multimeter said 12.35 volts, which is not very good. i shined up the terminals and...
sorry for the late reply, i've been out of town for nine days.
i am going with a weak battery, as stated above. i verified that there were miles on the trip odometer, started the bike and...
okay, i have this problem, too. bike starts fine, but the trip odometer(s) and clock reset. it does this frequently. i will look at the battery posts and update with findings. is there a ground i...

sounds like you may have a stuck injector (long storage = bad fuel). there is a local shop, here, that will rebuild injectors for about $15 each. it seems you are in PA, so i imagine there are...
i registered the bike today and put the new foot pegs on. yep, that extra inch makes a huge difference. (huh huh, uh, huh huh)
this bike is deceptively fast. i was running it in first gear and...
okay, that makes perfect sense. thank you.

good odin.... that bike is amazing. words fail....
i see a lot of these with the exhaust pipes wrapped. any opinions on wrapping the pipes?
that master lock is truly random....
someone told me that these bikes have a brass worm gear at the oil pump that likes to grenade. i swear i saw documentation that this issue was sorted by 2007. any input?
it is amazing how many...
both holes.... transmission, too?
i would swear that i saw the manuals for download somewhere around here...
edit: found it. :)
so, what oil are you guys running? i see that the recommended oil is HD. i was thinking i'd run...
my first impression is that the seat and position are more comfortable than my ducati 900SS. i think an inch more leg room is going to make a difference. i also need to get the suspension dialed.
i have some lightning pegs on their way. thanks!
thanks guys. i gotta say this is the friendliest forum i've had the pleasure of being a new member. no one told me too do search or any of that.
so, if i am getting what you are saying, it is as...
lightning pegs... i am new to this, so please be patient. can you be more specific and are they a direct bolt on?
i just picked up the motorcycle i mentioned in my first post. what a beautiful machine. i should have bought one years ago.
first off, i am 6'1" and the riding position is pretty tight for my...
HAH! my 900SS generally has to be shifted at 8500, so that won't be an issue.
thanks for your reply!
