before on the left, it pinched the middle and didn't seal solid like it will once the boot has the middle ridge removed.
also, with a pro intake, it provides much more stability.

i had to shave off the center of my boot, i just took a knife and cut the center flat.

i was just trying to help clarify the actual boot from the boot clamp. and the different costs.
i for sure don't want him paying more than 15 bucks for the rubber.
i call up the local harley dealer, the rubber boot, the coupler between the carb and the intake manifold is what your looking for.
that is ~15 bucks now.
the superboot is something to use...
