Just and FYI. If you guys have anyone looking, I've decided to give this one up. I'll be asking around 3K. I just never ride it. thanks
42304229Weather has been great recently. Been able to get some miles in. Even ride to work a few times. I'm still on the fence of selling.
4168Some really damn impressive bikes on here ! Makes we want to keep mine and upgrade it. Here's my 2003. 3500miles.
Seems like my bike is always under it's cover. In the 3 mo that I've had it, I've put less than 200 miles on it. I'm almost up to 4K miles! I'm hoping with the riding season coming up, I'll be more...
3347Haven't had time to mess with the seals. There are no drip on the ground. I plan to give them a good wipe down and ride and see what happens. The tires & belt look good. No cracks. 3346
Welcome. Bike looks great. I my self am new - from Southern OK. Everyone on here has been very helpful.
The OG way is to use a small piece 35mm film to clean between the fork tube/ dust seal and lower into the fork seal too. This will help a fork seal leak if there is a bit of dirt stuck in it....
Chicago.. is this a joke on the new Rookie !? When I received the bike from shipping. The shipper had the front end tied all the way down. It was maxed out ! So I believe that is why the seals...
[QUOTE=Gloomshadow;564433]don't remove that black X.. its a way to get a magnetic tank bag to stick, if you remove it , it will leave holes and look like crap.. those are the most costly of plastics...
Submax, thank you for the welcome ! I got lucky. The tailbag came with the bike !
I get a lot of compliments on the blue. I'm sure you do as well.

Here's what under the seat.
31763175?Stock exhaust ?
Thank you guys for the pictures. The stock black is pretty nice!
Looks like my wheels where updated too.
@wickedchop Not sure what I'm looking at? Some type of caps to fill in mirror holes ?
3184UMDterp13 - good info. thanks. Yellow would have been a no go for me.
What else are the cool kids updating or changing on this bike ? (Simple stuff - nothing crazy.)
Looks like I need...
neilrl79 - Hmmm - black would have been cool. Black transparent? Do you have a picture of the bike with the airbox off ? The only thing I don't like about the brake/clutch levers are the length. I...
Lunaticfringe- Thank you for clarifying. The blue is one of the reason I was attracted to the bike. I plan to keep it for sure. So, the airbox cover and flyscreen was / is not stock to my bike. What...
Thanks neilr79. I obviously need to do more research.
Thank you Everyone for the welcomes and the kind words. Lunatic- I had thought of those plugs. Just thought someone may have offered something specific for that application. What's the air box? And...
Since I didn't get a manual, and I don't know anything about the bike- I'm sure I'll have several questions.
I've managed to remove the reflectors off the forks and rear blinkers. Attempted to...
I'm new to the forum and to Buell. I recently acquired this 2003 with 3500 miles on it. I don't have any big plans for it. I expect I'll pretty much just keep it stock and have fun riding it.
Speaking of mirrors... I have an 2003 xb9 also and would like to remove the stock mirrors. What do you plug the holes with? Just use a Button Head Cap Screw? What is the thread? M10x1.25 or 3/8-24 ?
Great story, thread and killer skills ! Bike came out amazing. Thank you for sharing.
