"Jerky"..... as in Beef Jerky??? Interesting concept.
lol!
Lunatic and Bagger - Point taken. It seems like he's the kind of guy that you'd invite to Thanksgiving at your folks house cuz he didn't have plans and you felt bad for him. Then, when your mother...
Agreed.
Gents
I have to jump in here for a quick minute - One thing to note is that while TPEHAK's posts may be, well, irritating, that doesn't always make him wrong (though sometimes it does). Taking...
Thanks John. I missed your post when you originally posted it. Found it though. Good read. Wish I read it a year ago...
So Gents (and ladies), I thought I'd share an experience for your reading pleasure and hopefully it helps someone down the line.
I've been dealing with a series of electrical (related) problems...
Thanks guys!
We rode south to four corners - tourist trap but still worth stopping, then back up through Cortez Co to Durango for some St. Pat's day drinking. Stayed in Durango and rode back to Moab the next...
So, because I'm a glut for punishment, I took my Uly to Moab UT and, among other trails, did the White Rim. Let me start by saying two things -
1: This trail is, in just about every way,...
Thanks JD
Does anyone have a stock Uly shift lever that they'd be willing to part with for cheap? I'm planning an off road trip around Moab UT and would like to have a spare in case my riding ambitions exceed...
Yeah, they're not cheap, that's for sure. They are quite nicely made though and WAY better grip if you plan on getting any mud on your boots (or tires).
Just got the pads. Thanks John!
Thought I'd kick the dust off this thread. I just installed the Precision Engineering 2.5" bar risers (yep, they still make them) on my '08 Uly. The throttle cables are long enough, though just...
That's cool with me. I haven't ordered the pads yet. How do I order them from you?
Gents, this may be a dumb question... but I'll ask it anyway.
- Are the rear brake pads different on the XT than on the X? I thought the pads were the same on all the XB12 models but I went to...
Pdksh-
Lunatic is definitely on point. I bought an '08 XT, also with 12k miles, last November and really love the bike. It was basically in perfect working order and had all the luggage intact,...
Directly from the service manual "If the engine should continue running when ignition is in the off position, simply continue to ride the hell out of that Buell. Continuing to run is a symptom of...
Gents, was just at the EBR shop in East Troy picking up my winnings from the LAP auction of shop extras. They've got a brand new 1125 engine in the box that nobody bid on. If the deal I got on a...
Oh Snap!
(Sorry couldn't resist)
Chicknstripn, no offense intended. I only meant to be informative. Us engineer folk can be a bit dry at times and come off as accusatory so if I offended, my apologies. I am not a petroleum...
Chicknstripn, What you are suggesting is based on incomplete/outdated information. I too had a similar experience using regular synthetic motor oil in a motorcycle with a wet clutch. The result was...
Wally, at GREAT risk of opening a can of worms on the FS tensioner topic, here's my perspective:
The price of the tensioner is about the same as the price of a belt (around here anyway), so if it...
