whoops! I just saw how old this topic was.. I must be bored.. my bad
there's alot of feeback here and basically I'm just gonna chime in..
basically, the buell is better suited to daily drivers with a serious competitive streak in it.. it's easier to maintain,...
thanks for the interest guys.. keep 'em coming! (that's what she said)
oh and the bike had super chicken strips when I got it.. So the previous owner prob didn't ride that hard. I've put 2k on it since I've gotten it.. when I first got her the clutch was fine (no...
brakes:
12k on the bike.. The rear brake pedal has no where to go.. it maybe moves half a cm tops.. It looks like the pedals adjustable.. how much movement should there be? So no the pedal's not...
oh, and tranny fluid was replaced less than 200 miles ago and it's already super black thick gunk..
so sometimes the clutch is perfect.. then randomly it doesn't want to disengage or engage right away and I get slack on top. it's like I'm trying to pop a wheelie but.. I'm just riding normal.. ...
1125r vs rc8 vs 1098 vs v4 any thoughts? any racers that have ridden them all?
So what do you think about your bike? Most of the reviews online are old and talk about the preproduction models. Now that they've been in production and hit the streets are the same issues present?...
3weeks and counting.. hopefully it says.. I do have some movement on it though.. it has some slack about a mm of movement.. any thoughts? normal? should I retap and use a bigger bolt?
"Looks sweet. Not to nitpick but I would of thought they could have got the 25th anniversary badge on the handlebar clamp straight." -rofl so true
"i love it you wanna trade for 04 12r with the race kit ill add my truck " -sold.. lol
"Used normal Duplicolor spray cans, but followed instructions and plenty of dry/cure time.
Doesn't look...
It's not very expensive to get it done.. exp if you're not too particular or set on a color. everytime I paint anything small I always got to the paint shop and ask to see their mismatched colors.....
" i would just apply 1 wrap of electrical tape. done."
haha you sound like my brother he thinks bailing wire and duct tape will fix anything.. lol
But, I'd have to agree something as simple...
"to get a good quality result you need to anodize them"
-agreed
lol, make that a triple post.. haha. it's late ppl!
whoops.. double posted it..
"do you have any pics of it on a bike Fusion? Would like to see one"

"Pass for me....Im guessing that its re-useable. I dont know if I trust a reuseable oil filter..or can be bothered cleaning one . Its about $6.00 for a new one, I'll just keep replacin em, but that...
standard street use.. no racing really.. I like using my rear break to slow down.. then apply the front for the complete stop.
I'm in need of rear pads.. I was just wondering what you guys recommend for a replacement? I'm also interested in a front caliper for an 03 buell xb9r....
I just realized I was putting the removable locktite on the bolt.. got the right stuff (permanent).. maybe that'll do the trick..
bullpartsguy.. you think the lever is the issue? it doesn't look...
hahah nice!
why in the world would you do that>? gonna drag race it? and if that's the case I wouldn't go with a cheap alternative.. get it done correctly.
There's a lowering kit buellpartsguy put together that will give you Right around 2 1/2 inches shorter than stock...
