Didn't Buell change the shape of how round it was in the back of the seat? I understood that was the difference for the XB9SX seats in 2008+. It was either more pointy in back or more rounded.
I'm selling a stock seat for a 2010 XB9SX CityX. Apparently it only fits 2008, 2009, and 2010 XB9SX. I heard it won't fit 2007 and earlier but I want to confirm. I've got some people asking me this...
I've got a friend who owns MoverQuest Moving & Shipping. They do a lot of motorcycle shipping. Sometimes they have trucks in the area that can pick up a bike fast for a great price.
This evening I went to the International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach CA. EBR had a small booth. I spoke with someone about their plans for releasing the next models. He said the three new bikes...
Yes I have one. Stock muffler for a 2006 XB12S. How about $80? I'm in Costa Mesa.
Cycle Doctor in Costa Mesa! A mechanic named Camm has a Buell and is their Buell guy. Great work. Good prices. They have been servicing my Buell XB9SX for 1.5 years.
I have a stock seat. It took around 2000 miles to break-in. Then it was comfortable enough to keep.
I've heard bicycle shorts work good. I'll have to try it.
I like Xtreme's seat the best! Do...
1000 miles in a day. Very nice. Probably not too many people have done that on a Buell. I assume you have a Lightning?
Longest I've gone is 550 miles. I'd like to do an Iron-Butt run someday...
I also agree with Lunatic, except I think the law is for loud cars, loud stereos, and also for Harley's with straight pipes that make LOTS of noise. Loud pipes saves lives, but extra loud pipes annoy...
+1 check tire pressure. You can feel a difference of about 2 pounds of pressure.
Also check the suspension and make sure it's set close to (or exactly to) the factory settings.
I think I know...
xtreme is right, they make a good platform to build upon. In stock form they don't have great suspension. When you put Ohlins on it and add a good pipe, yea you end up spending too much but you get a...
Looks good. How does it run with everything you've done? Any stumbling issues or flat spots in the torque? Where are the rear blinkers and the license plate?
The red bars and grips really look...
That does look badass.
I think if you removed the Lightning logo it would look even better, like a helmet above the eyes and gas mask.
The white wheel accents look great.
Talking about steering dampers is like talking about oil and tires. Some people have their opinions that they "know" are right and everyone else is wrong no matter what! They want to yell it loud and...
Don't chop the tail. It makes it worse.
I like it! I want to know where to buy it too. I'd like to see a pic of the sideview showing the orange plastics and both wheels with no flash in the picture.
I believe the earlier models had a harder coating which made it better for polishing with ScothBrite and looking great. The later models (maybe 2008 and later?) had a thinner header coating which...
The stock seat on my XB9SX was hard at first. It took around 2000 miles of riding before it finally loosened up and felt good. It's been comfortable ever since (almost 40K miles total so far). Try...
Nice work. Those little LED blinkers front and rear look great. Much better looking on the bike than in a picture online.

Another tire thread. Oh boy.
This one is old but it's got good info.

I need a new front rotor. This is what I'm looking at:
EBR 5mm Finned Front Brake Rotor $180.00
Mounting Kit $41.00
ASB OEM Front Brake Rotor Kit $323.00
Includes mounting hardware
ASB...
This is just a wild guess and I could be totally wrong, but maybe the packing wasn't secured properly inside the pipe and blew to the back of the pipe and bunched-up in a wad and changed the sound....
I really like the orange. Please post pics of your bike with the new plastics on.
