Zippers just called. Cams are ready and shipping today. Lots to do, but I’m gonna try to have the motor built by the end of the weekend.
I’m hoping for 120hp and 90ish tq at 8400 rpms. I’ll post pics as I build the motor and get dyno results. We are getting close ladies and gentlemen.
Ok. Here is the full roll call
New 2008 XB9 crank, Knife edged, plugged, welded, and balanced.
Completely blue printed and rebuilt engine cases
Zippers iron lined aluminum 3.8125 bore...
I’m gonna start with the 12 gearing. But I had evo industries make me an aluminum 34 tooth sprocket so I could run the 9 gearing if I want to switch back
So now, compared to last dyno, ill have bigger valves, bigger cams, much higher compression 11.9:1 is what the new build makes, ported TB 52mm up from 49mm, A billet primary that shaved 4.5 lbs...
Recap, The last dyno I did ended with 102 hp and 76 tq. Not bad, but i was expecting more. As soon as i got the bike home from the dyno i pulled the plugs and did a compression check. 170 psi...
A few of us have been around the block. The OP should take advantage of this instead of disregarding our knowledge as BS because it’s not what he wants to hear. And thanks John
Have you thought about why everyone keeps saying the same thing about your “paint job”? You really think ALL of us are wrong? Come on BRO
My man. You obviously know nothing about paint. I was an auto painter for 10 years. It WILL look like crap very soon. Why don’t you stop being a cheap ass and refinish the bike correctly. ...
It will look good for a minute. It will turn to ass real quick. Eastwood makes a 2K aerosol paint in a can. Much better product than the rattle crap you used.
I’ve never heard it. I can assure you it’s freakin loud. There’s no baffle. This is a full race pipe.
Atta boy. Get rite back in that saddle. Let me know if you need anything.
This is a custom race exhaust I bought off a retired xb9 race bike. The exhaust was built by NBS performance and fabrication in pinellas park,FL. The header primaries are 1.750 just like the...
Damn man hate to hear that. Glad you are ok though!
This one is loud.

Did I fall for it?
Very interesting
I just got a custom full stainless exhaust system off a Buell race bike. It would definitely satisfy your need for more sound volume. Hit me up if you’re interested
Several factors come into play with this. Raising compression, 30 degree combustion chamber, and getting the squish band dialed in. All of these things require less timing to make power. ...
Evolution industries billet clutch assembly and engine sprocket. As far as ratios go, they make engine sprockets with many different tooth counts. You can go up or down one tooth on the engine...
Yes the ignition timing maps were changed. The stock and race timing maps are ok up to a certain point. What’s your compression ratio now? Did you get the 30 degree reverse dome pistons?
I can dig it. I got a soft spot for thumpers.
Mike check this out. Shaved 4.5 lbs off the drivetrain with this setup. You need it.

A lot of people disagree with you on this. Makes sense to me though.
