I have noticed that sometimes when I turn the key on, that my dash doesn't always turn on. I have to wiggle the key a bit and then it powers up the dash and guages reset. Shouldn't the key turing the...
I coast to a stop all the time as well to save my clutch. I live in FL and there are not many places to coast. But I have noticed the "slow down" factor as well when coasting.
Could the problem be in the ignition itself? Not sending the power to the lights when the key is turned on....?
I think it's awesome that Zach Galifianakis rides a Bolt like us too... lol. Just kidding jersey, I had to with the beard pic. Wish I could grow on like that.
I will try that as well. Thanks for the heads up on that one. And thanks to all who have chimed in as well with ideas. I called HD and they won't even talk to you about it. "Just bring it in and for...
I can only find 1 ground between the fork and the frame(one by the VIN#) and it was clean and tight, and the one under the seat by the battery was the same.
Boots removed, and replaced the bulbs...
That is what I was thinking, that a wire might be grounding to the frame. But why when I press the "high beam signal" button do the lights come on? Is that because they are grounding to that switch?...

Here you go bud.
The noise I am hearing is only when the key is in the on position, and the kill switch is in the off position, and the "high beam signal" button is pressed. So it cannot be the stator if the engine...
Bump....
When I start the bike, and try to press the signal button nothing happens. The lights only turn on when the kill switch is off. The lights turn on but very slowly, and are dim.
The noise is not...
So got home and replaced both bulbs (both old bulbs were still good, but replaced anyway). Took fairing off and traced down all wires and no corrosion. I can't see where the ground wires for the...
Thanks guys...
You might want to get some Frame Pucks on there too. Wouldn't want to lay it down and mess up the tank...
Good looking bike though man.
Oh ok I saw the boots last night when I was checking the wires. So just slide the boots back and remove the metal clips and the bulb pulls right out. That is easy enough. Thanks for the info, I will...
Well how do you get to the bulbs to remove/replace them without removing the fairing?
There is a bennifit ride to help a fallen Polk County Sheriff Officer this weekend at the Lakeland Wing House. Myself and a few other Buells will be there along with many other bikes. Its Police...
Checked the pins and they are fine. Good connection and no corrotion. Havent taken the fairing off yet to check the bulbs to see if they are blown. Going to try and do that tonight.
I just have herd that when you take the fairing off those come off as well? I couldnt see why they would need to come off but that is what I have read on here. Maybe it was just to try to paint them...
What is the "trick" to taking off the front fairing without breaking the headlight beseils? I am affraid they will be weak do to age and the heat from the lights.
I did wash the bike before I took it to Daytona, but it worked after the bike was washed and worked almost the whole way there. I will check all the conections under the farring when I get home from...
I went to Biketoberfest in Daytona this weekend and my trip got cut short because on the ride in I lost my headlights. I looked down to check my speed and noticed my "High Beam" indicator light was...
