What kinda mileage are you getting? I easily get 48+ no matter how I ride. (24,500 miles in 18 months so it's a fair bit of data.)

21k miles on my original bearings on my '06 Uly. No problems. I do, however always follow precisely the recommended axle torque spec when I change tires. I'd bet the burned out bearings are more a...
Going on and off curbs, your feet ought to be on the pegs. If you can get one foot down flat with the other on the peg without leaning it over too badly the height is fine.
Probably going to need more information to diagnose this one. The Buell makes SO much mechanical noise when running it's hard to tell at times if it's normal or not. If it sounds like a handful of...
My Uly light comes on at .6 gallons left. The numbers are miles ridden after reserve.
You shouldn't have any real issues. With correct maintenance, oil changes, plugs, TPS resets on the older models, etc, these bikes are just as reliable, if not a bit more so than a water cooled bike....
Where have you seen HD claim a 50k life on the motor?
I've got a 1978 Shovelhead FX with nearly 80k on it. If it will last like that these things are good for infinity with the right maintenance.
what problems? i've got 20k on my 06 with no issues i'd consider significant.
Love my '06. Almost 20k miles in 15 months. Just completed an SS1k a couple weeks ago. A few minor issues but nothing serious. It's a great all-around bike.
Is the fan coming on correctly?
Baton Rouge HD delivered their 8 to the deposit-customers, sold another off the floor and had their last one sitting there on Monday for me to drool on.
There was an entire xb12 motor and tranny on ebay last I looked.
Hey Old School. Congrats on the retirement. You'll love the Uly.
On a side note, my son, PFC Raymond Martin just shipped out to 9-Nissan with the 10th Mountain out of Fort Polk.
Hooah!
Howdy! You'll love the '08. The silverstars are Sylvania brand lights. They are still the same wattage, but are a whiter light than the stockers. I feel they make a decent difference, although...
and get some more miles on that thing! ;)
hell, 60 miles is nothing. just tell them you rode it home.
The only thing I can think that might throw a flag is if there is any documentation of mileage. Other than that, just tell them it's been sitting in your garage. They might charge back taxes on it...
Ride all year, every day if I can. 18000 miles on 14 months on my 06 Uly mostly back and forth to work with several trips thrown in. I love Louisiana.
I rotated the motor down to do my Micron install, but I've read some say that with a universal and a short socket they can get to the rear nut without dropping the motor.
Is it an '08? My '06 Ulysses has been basically bulletproof for the last 18k miles. Warped front rotor is getting warrantied next week. Top speed I've had mine to is 124 on my GPS and it was still...
Lower is better than too high. Too high and it will take forever to come back to idle.
I cut a piece of 1.25x1.25x.25 aluminum angle down and notched it out so it would bolt in behind the beak. Ended up removing it after a get-off when it bent pretty badly.
Right now, I'm working...
I think the older XBs actually breathe from the left side scoop through a duct that comes up through the bottom of the airbox floor plate.
The newer XBs don't have the snorkel. They breathe from right behind the gas filler instead.
As far as I understand from my VDSTS, you can do the TPS and AFV resets, and check and clear codes, but you cannot modify anything else with it.
ECMspy or direct link is it for that I think.
