My wife and i both have the g4 with the boon mike and theres no problem with runnung the mike through the chin skirt. i have had them installed on 2 icon helmets, a older bell and a exo-1000

they are great little bikes. my wife has one of those to start and i also picked it up cheap with very few miles on it as well. awsome gas milage and just enough power to be entertaining.
