+10 on the emphasis that the helmet you should wear is the one that offers the best protection you can afford... and fit...

I'm not aware of any aftermarket or other brands of pegs/brackets that will fit your bike. I highly doubt your friend's Duc brackets will fit.

Using resistors effectively makes LED lights mimic an incandescent bulb from a power draw perspective. This essentially defeats one of the two key reasons for using LEDS..
1. LEDs look cool
2....
