Merry Christmas
UPDATE: i got the special tools in and removed and reinstalled the nut. the noise is 100% gone. Big thanks to John for offering to lend me the tools needed to complete the job and for his advice.
cruising the net i found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CacfmuSVk2s
it sounds similar to my noise and the owner says his nut was loose on the pulley. that might be what it is on my bike...
I'll make a tool to hold the sprocket.
I may take you up on that, but I have a few other things I need to grab from the local dealer and if they have one in stock I might as well just get it from...
i pulled the seal in the center of the mainshaft to inspect the needle bearing, it looks good and there was fluid up there. i'm really hoping it's the roller bearing. anyone know if i can use a...
Will do. I need to get that pulley off and verify that the bearing is bad. I really hope that is all that it is, this is my noise.

Looks like I might need to borrow that holder tool, I'll provide deposit.
Thanks!
Does anyone have a link where I can download the exhaust shootout?
Awesome!
I'm interested in the race muffler if you still have it.
I'm looking for a race muffler
I'm surprised no one said fuel pump. On my my 05 xb9sx and my 06 Uly both had fuel pumps that were bad. Other than that just changed the plugs and rear wheel bearings and was good to. Uly had 10,000...
If you're interested in a Uly I might be interested in a trade.

In the smokey mountains.
I don't want to speak for him but I'm pretty sure he said he will still be doing some tuning if you ask him to. He's just not promoting it as much as before. At some point I want another tune from...
I wonder if all Harley dealers have a standard Dyno they use? My buddy has a Dyno dynamics car Dyno in Miami, about 150 miles away. I'll probably Dyno it there one day.
I took my Uly into the local Harley dealer today to get it dyno'd and she was too short. The rear tire barley made it to the drum and the front of the rear tire was touching the ramp the front tire...
I don't want to see a post like this from anyone else but the new owner. Intro!!!!!!
PS: no offense, just looking forward to getting to know about the new owner and his plans for EBR
If I recall a softtail or some Harley belt will fit as has been said to be just as good as the buell belt. It's a belt that should be stocked at every dealer. I did 2000+ miles ride to deals gap etc...
That straight up looks like a xb front brake setup tho. Maybe a good place for us to get replacement rotors?
In was about to say the same thing. Mine makes some noise ever since I bought it as 10,000 miles. 25000 miles now and still going strong. These buells make noise.
If you listen closely you can...
Inbwas pretty disappointed about not seeing the new posts as well but if you look in the upper left corner there is a link for new posts.
Now if we could just get this forum on tapatalk......

The wheel bearing have very little grease in them. I pull one seal off each and pack them full of grease when installed and then at every tire change.
